Job Path is seeking a Training and DEIAB Coordinator to join its Human Resources team. The primary function will be to conduct training to strengthen Job Path’s work force and to build a more inclusive environment. The Training and DEIAB Coordinator will focus on building a solid foundation for incoming staff by creating opportunities for staff to connect and build relationships and through accessible information sharing. The Training and DEIAB Coordinator will use a blend of existing learning systems to host training sessions in addition to creating some sessions from scratch.
Job Path’s DEIAB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging) committee’s focus is to build trust and foster a collaborative environment that allows for constructive outcomes of differences of perspectives. The Training and DEIAB Coordinator will provide critical administrative support to the DEIAB Committee and will ensure that all training centers principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging, while keeping Job Path's mission front and center.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following tasks: Training, Education, and Development for Employees - Schedule and conduct live trainings for staff in the areas of: Trauma Informed Care, Compassion fatigue, Person Centered Supports, Supporting through Crisis, Community Development and Engagement, Understanding Families, and DEIAB Work, such as responding to Harmful Language, Diversity and Race, Diversity and Disability
- Create training materials to support programs in conveying procedures, such as timesheets, billing, petty cash, and reimbursements
- Create trainings in multiple formats to increase accessibility and accommodate different learning styles, this includes follow up knowledge checks and refreshers
- Coordinate with supervisors to identify DSPs for NADSP accreditation and track progress
- Provide training to existing and prospective supervisors to create a path of growth
- Track completed trainings using Relias and tracking sheets, or set up this work for HR Assistant to complete
- Regularly report to department directors on training progress of employees
- Obtain SCIP Training certification and provide SCIP trainings as needed
Supporting the Job Path Community - Conduct trainings with Self-Direction families to make clear Job Path’s policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Host Community Conduct Agreement sessions for participants and families
- Assist, as needed, in recruitment efforts by attending career fairs and note taking during interviews
- Attend IAC Training Directors meetings and report back OPWDD updates and requirements
DEIAB Committee Coordination - Assist in scheduling regular meetings and ensuring that subcommittees of DEIAB groups are meeting
- Be the primary notetaker and summarize meeting with action steps for members following meetings
- Assist in surveying and data gathering of staff and people we support to better track DEIAB initiatives
Reports to: Director of HR and Training
Location: This is a hybrid-remote position, requiring at least two days in Job Path's midtown Manhattan office
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree
- Two years of experience in working with people with disabilities
- Previous professional experience in a DEIAB efforts a plus, knowledge of anti-racism principles is a must
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to create engaging, informative, and accessible training materials
Salary: $52,000, non-exempt, $54,000 if bilingual in written/verbal Spanish
