As a Staff Engineer, you will not only play a crucial role in shaping the future of our civil and environmental engineering projects but also have the opportunity to grow into a Project Engineer role as your experience and skills develop. Collaborating closely with a Project Manager (PM) and Project Engineer, you will contribute to the planning, design development, calculations, cost estimates, presentations, and overall project development. Your expertise will be vital in performing essential calculations, preparing comprehensive reports, reviewing construction submittals, and conducting field inspections under the guidance of a Project Engineer.

Your daily impact:

  • Assist in planning, designing, and developing civil and environmental engineering projects.
  • Perform necessary calculations for preliminary and detailed designs.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, plans, and specifications for various projects.
  • Review construction submittals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct field inspections and assessments under the supervision of a Project Engineer.
  • Develop cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings and presentations.
  • Ensure projects comply with industry standards, codes, contracts, drawings, specifications, safety standards, and pollution prevention plan requirements.
  • Utilize CADD software and other tools to develop design plans.
  • Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.



What you bring to the table:

  • 1-3 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited engineering program.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of design and construction industry standards and practices.
  • Proficient in CADD software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
