Role Description
The Scrum Master will be a key member of our client's software development team. This is a full-time remote role with quarterly travel to Sacramento, CA.  The Scrum Ma r ster will be responsible for sprint planning, user stories, facilitation of scrum events and ceremonies, and setting team goals and objectives. The Scrum Master will also work closely with other teams, communicate with stakeholders and executive leadership, and proactively identify and mitigate project risks.

This role is a consulting role for Department of Healthcare Services- Behavorial Health.  As the largest SLED (state, local, and education) organization in the United States, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is considered one of the most technologically advanced teams in California state government.

Qualifications
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience with Agile methodology in Scrum Master related roles Scrum Master in a development environment.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles and software development concepts
  • Hold a current Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PSM (Professional Scrum Master).
  • Experience with JIRA Agile tracking software.
  • Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead/work within a dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, technical documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Relevant experience or certifications in areas such as Project Management, Software Development, or Quality Assurance are desirable. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
