LaSalle Network is currently working with a plant-based protein provider . Our client is seeking a research and development R&D Food Technician for up to a year contract in the Boulder, CO area! They are looking for a sharp, motivated and flexible individual.

R&D Food Technician Responsibilities: 

• Assist scientists in R&D testing, experiments and processing in pilot and bench top operations setting
• Manage R&D samples, documents, receiving, inventory and organization
• Assist in facilitation of in-house and contracted sensory testing, including management of sensory panel samples and standards, and support sensory evaluation meetings
• Measure and perform analytical testing including moisture, water activity, texture analysis, protein and sodium
• Keep stock of inventory of core products and necessary items for important cuttings, internal reviews and competitive products
• Weigh, oversee and keep track of ingredients for scientists’ tests both on bench, pilot and scaled up testing
• Participate in production tests to successfully meet project objectives
• Coordinate organization, storage of equipment/materials and cleanup of R&D facilities

R&D Food Technician Requirements:

• Working knowledge of food manufacturing, quality and food safety systems, sanitation, allergens, SOP and safety protocols
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Bachelor’s degree: Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Bio-Technology or comparable program
