Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 Annually
Overview: We are partnering with a leading water resources engineering firm in San Jose, CA, that is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer. This role is perfect for a Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineer with over 5 years of experience and a passion for water resources, water/wastewater infrastructure, and environmental compliance. The successful candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in California and have the opportunity to take on a technical leadership role, manage projects from inception to completion, and contribute to business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities: - Project Management: Lead and manage the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including transmission, pumping, storage, and treatment facilities.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring the quality and accuracy of design deliverables.
- Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring projects meet their expectations.
- Hydraulic Modeling: Perform hydraulic modeling of water resources and wastewater collection systems using tools like InfoWorks, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and BioWIN.
- Design & Reporting: Prepare engineering calculations, technical studies, and reports; conduct site visits and coordinate with clients and staff.
- Business Development: Support marketing and business development activities to drive strategic growth.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant environmental regulations and develop permitting strategies.
Qualifications: - Education: B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering; M.S. preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in water/wastewater infrastructure design and project management.
- Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) registration in California is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., InfoWorks, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, BioWIN).
- Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to work effectively in both field and office settings.
