Job Description

The Market Manager position provides leadership of a Private Wealth team in a geographically distinct market or functional area as a Player-Coach, with a focus on either investment management or personal trust.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will direct and supervise the work of team personnel to ensure effective, compliant administration of assigned accounts; determine work priorities and schedule work assignments; interview and recommend candidates; evaluate, orient, counsel, and recommend associated personnel actions.
  • You will be responsible for managing the risk profile of the market and maintaining risk metrics within corporate standards.
  • You will define annual department objectives; this includes developing operating plans, including budget and staffing level requirements, consistent with market goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for the market cost center(s) with a focus of managing expenses and meeting department revenue goals.
  • You will lead the team to achieve annual sales, client satisfaction & retention goals.
  • You will manage a book of client relationships.
  • You will be required to participate in community and professional activities in the market, build the company brand, and expand your personal network of business contacts.
  • You will develop and implement strategies focused on seamless delivery of wealth management solutions to clients, ensuring proper service levels to customers in compliance with sound banking and fiduciary practices, as well as BOKF policies and procedures.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance and 8+ years of Private Wealth & Management, and/or Investment Management, and/or Commercial Banking & Management, and/or Trust Administration & Management, and/or Sales Management experience or 14+ years equivalent work experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of investment management and asset allocation, accounting principles & practices, personal trust accounts, estate planning, taxation, and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations; ability to communicate with senior level management, regulators, and executive officers.
  • Proficient in personnel management, leadership ability and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to sell within the financial services industry with extensive negotiating skills.
