Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our HR team. This role is critical to ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, and that we remain compliant with all payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payrolls for all employees accurately and on time, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions.
• Maintain and update payroll information by collecting and entering data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Handle payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and filings.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports.
• Manage payroll records, including maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
• Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in salary or benefits.
• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and information.
• Stay current with changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven 2+ years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Previous experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Professional certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar.
• Experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems.
