Job Title: Nanny/Housekeeper for Private Family in Gladwyne, PA

Position Overview:
A private family in Gladwyne, PA, is seeking a dedicated and professional Nanny/Housekeeper to join their household. This full-time position combines childcare with comprehensive housekeeping responsibilities. The role requires an energetic, detail-oriented individual who can manage household tasks and provide exceptional care for a school-aged child. This is a live-out position, with 52 hours per week guaranteed at a rate of $35 per hour, plus overtime pay after 40 hours.

The Ideal Candidate:
The family is looking for someone who is bubbly, energetic, and able to follow instructions with precision. A tech-savvy, engaging personality is ideal, with a focus on child-centered interaction. Previous successful nannies have been proactive and attentive to details. The candidate should also love dogs, as they will care for a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

About the Family:

• Adults: 2
• Children: 2 (primarily responsible for 5-year-old, turning 6 in May)
• Pets: 1 dog (Cavalier King Charles)
• Current Staff: 1 Nanny and 1 Family Assistant
• Home Size: 6,000 sq. ft.

Position Responsibilities:

Childcare (Primary Duties):

• Wake and dress the child for school, ensuring the school uniform is clean and appropriate for each day.
• Prepare breakfast and pack lunch for school.
• Drive the child to kindergarten, providing drop-off and pick-up.
• Manage any necessary stain treatment for school uniforms.
• Clean and maintain the family Tesla used for work-related transportation.

Housekeeping (Secondary Duties):

• Floor Care: Mopping and vacuuming hardwood floors every other day.
• Baseboards: Regular cleaning.
• Kitchen Cleaning: Clean refrigerator, oven, microwave, drying rack, reverse osmosis machine, and humidifier.
• Laundry: Daily laundry duties, focusing on children’s clothes, linens, and towels as needed.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and maintain all bathrooms, including monthly mildew treatment and rust removal in sinks.
• Pet Care: Walk the family dog and provide additional pet care when needed.
• Fish Tank Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain the household fish tank.
• Child Safety: Ensure outlet covers are replaced after use.
• Grocery Shopping & Meal Prep: Assist with grocery shopping and light meal prep as needed; the family utilizes a catering service but may request basic cooking assistance occasionally.

Position Details:

• Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Weekly Hours: 52 hours per week, with overtime pay after 40 hours
• Salary: $35 per hour, with 2 weeks of paid vacation and 1 additional week of PTO
• Benefits: To be discussed with the family upon hiring
• Start Date: Immediate

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Must pass stringent background checks and drug testing.
• At least two strong references from previous employers.
• Comfortable working with audio/visual monitoring in the home.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to and from work; the family provides a Tesla for work-related driving.
