General Summary:
The Marketing Database Manager will develop, execute, and recommend long-term and short-term database marketing strategies to maximize player retention, engagement, trips, and revenues, including developing and managing analysis functions to measure effectiveness of marketing activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of all database marketing initiatives, including but not limited to, direct mail, email, text, and app campaigns.
- Responsibility includes all elements of campaigns, including but not limited to strategic direction, segmentation, overseeing offer uploads, creative development, and internal and external communications.
- Responsible for monitoring database health and campaign-specific KPIs as well as producing timely reports to determine the profitability of database programs.
- Manages and Coordinates design, planning and implementation of direct mail campaigns including, managing the mailing schedule, coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather necessary content and assets, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of mailing lists.
- Manage software used to conduct promotional drawings, including design, creation and programming of drawing entry parameters and selection process, ensuring that system is designed to be tamperproof and secure.
- Conduct audits of technology solutions/reporting to ensure that all systems are working within established parameters.
- Design, execute, and report on customer marketing campaigns that incorporate consumer and product segmentation, personalization.
- Construct and Conduct offer testing, target segmentation and/or statistical model validation.
- Manage the development of Direct Mail matrix setup, information, and system settings for each direct mail project, including constructing math models and behavior testing.
- Manage customer profiles, track mailing preferences, conduct data cleansing activities to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of mailings.
- Utilize existing campaign tracking and consumer database capabilities to build upon existing segmentation, consumer behavioral modeling, and other targeted messaging in future campaigns.
- Perform thorough quality checks on direct mail pieces including, verifying addresses, reviewing content for accuracy and compliance.
- Design and implement documented proofing processes to ensure that Direct Mail campaigns are executed accurately.
- Responsible for maintaining all records pertaining to the response and tracking of all database programs in an organized fashion.

- Provide data-driven customer insights and work closely with cross-functional groups to maximize customer interactions with our customer marketing initiatives.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining Marketing Reporting and Analysis processes, including Pre-Forma and Post Forma reporting.
- Runs database queries and enters data into reporting spreadsheets.
- Utilize Structured Query Language (SQL), crystal reports, and data warehouses in analyzing various data sources to help develop queries and procedures for extracting and communicating required information.
- Primary responsibility for planning and execution of casino kiosk promotions, including establishing parameters and par levels for promotions.
- Prepares analysis for measuring marketing performance across the property (including but limited to CRM Marketing, customer loyalty program, promotions, amenity offers, internet/social media engagement), through completion of recurring and ad-hoc performance reporting.
- Writing coupon copy that adheres to brand standards and creation of appropriate coding for tracking all offers.
- Work with marketing team members to help implement a “Plan, Do, Check, Act” model to assess effectiveness of promotions and campaigns to maximize ROI and gain increased engagement.
- Lead application of knowledge gained by assessment of the database and campaign results/learning to assist in improve process efficiencies and marketing ROI of future campaigns.
- Work closely with Players Club Staff to maintain and update customer database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Schedules and oversees regular data hygiene procedures.
- Work with Player Development Staff to build targeted special offers for high level guests that build customer loyalty and drive increased revenue and profitability.
- Measures the cost effectiveness of direct mail and makes recommendations on improving the return on investment.
- Oversees the Self-Exclusion and Banned player database in accordance to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Tests and optimizes email metrics, including unsubscribes, open rates,
- Ensures continentality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients.
- Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
- Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field is required.
- Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in casino promotions, special events, player development, players club, or a similar field.
- Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.
- Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, databases and/or data entry, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is required.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency/expertise working with Aristocrat promotional kiosk and Aristocrat OASIS/LOYALTY required.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Knowledge of Native American communities, culture, customs, and beliefs is preferred.
- Experience working with Native Americans clients, communities and is able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a gaming identification badge to work in and around Casino property and facilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
- Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
- Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies.
