About Us: Chesterton Academy of The Holy Family is a Catholic high school in the Diocese of Joliet dedicated to the integral formation of our students' faith, intellect, and character. We seek passionate educators who are committed to our mission and values. Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Latin Teacher who can teach any level of Latin, from beginner to advanced. The ideal candidate will inspire students with a love for the Latin language and classical studies, while also fostering a deep appreciation for the Catholic faith and tradition. In addition, we are seeking a part time Italian Teacher. Responsibilities:

• Teach Latin or Italian at various levels, adapting instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students.
• Implement engaging and effective lesson plans that are already developed.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in Daily Mass, school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the classical curriculum.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Classics, Humanities, or a related field.
• Teaching experience.
• Candidates must be practicing Catholics and willing to take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students.
• Desire to have students complete the National Latin Exam.
