Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a tramping role to join our team.
This position involves driving long distances, often involving overnight stays away from home.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
Plan and follow efficient routes, accounting for delivery schedules and road conditions.
Transport goods to designated locations while ensuring timely deliveries.Compliance with legislation - Maintaining an accurate record of break times according to WTD regulations (drivers' hours, highway regulations)
Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 1 ( C+E ) license.
Up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card qualification.
Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles for long-hau l transport of goods over extended distances
No major traffic offences - No DR, DD, TT99 or NI codes accepted
Previous experience as an HGV Tramper Driver preferred ( 12 months minimum ).
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adhering to both agency's and client's regulations and procedures
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
