Job Summary
The Events Server/Bartender is responsible for making and serving alcoholic beverages and performing Events Server functions including set-up, service, and cleanup of hotel event activities ensuring overall success and repeat business, while creating memorable experiences by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Attend to guest needs and requests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
Properly follow recipes to make and serve a wide variety of mixed drinks using an extensive range of ingredients.
Orders, requisitions, and stocks all liquor, beverage and other bar supplies according to company standards.
Ability to perform Events Server functions as needed, including proper setup/reset of guest sitting areas, attending to guest needs; serve and make alcoholic beverages, ensuring that proper measurement and recipes are followed.
Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
Properly and thoroughly set-up all server areas and complete all opening, closing, and side work duties during shift.
Check identification to verify legal age (21) requirements for all guests.
Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
Abide by all control, regulations, laws, and procedures related to food/alcohol service, safety, and sanitation.
Competencies includes:
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Luxury hotel/fine dining experience is preferred.
High volume, fast-paced work environment experience preferred.
Food Handlers card is required.
Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
Proficient in English- verbal and written.
