The Oregon Board of Pharmacy accomplishes its mission through the regulation of the practice of pharmacy and the regulation and control of drug outlets involved in the manufacture, production, sale and distribution of legend (prescription) drugs, over the counter (nonprescription) drugs, controlled substance (addicting) drugs, and devices and other materials as may be used in the diagnosis and treatment of injury, illness and disease.

In this role you will plan and conduct inspections and investigations of the various licensees and registrants, including pharmacists, pharmacy interns & preceptors, pharmacy technicians, hospital pharmacies, community pharmacies, long term care pharmacies, manufacturing and wholesale drug outlets, other prescription drug outlets such as community health clinics, enters, and non-prescription drug outlets. The Compliance Officer also investigates Oregon Statute, Administrative Rule and Federal code and law violations; investigate complaints; evaluate findings; prepare and file compliance investigative reports; write citations; develop compliance investigation standards and procedures; and participate in contested case hearings. They will also provide technical assistance to persons practicing pharmacy about the laws, rules and regulations that apply to their licenses.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in the profession of Pharmacy (or the educational requirements for entrance into the profession) which the position regulates; AND Five years’ experience as an Oregon practicing Pharmacist; AND an Oregon Pharmacist license.
