Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years' experience in estate or civil litigation.
Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Ability to conduct legal research and analysis on estate, trust, probate, and estate litigation matters.
Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate case files and correspondence.
Experience in estate administration tasks including asset identification, valuation, petitions, inventories, and accountings.
Familiarity with drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
Knowledge of probate procedures and estate planning processes.
Excellent communication skills for client interactions, as well as coordination with opposing counsel and other parties.
Responsibilities:
Assist Estate Litigation attorney in case preparation and management.
Conduct legal research and analysis on various estate and trust matters.
Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
Organize and maintain accurate case files.
Prepare for and attend client meetings, hearings, and legal proceedings.
Support attorneys in estate litigation matters, including preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Handle probate and estate administration matters from start to finish.
Educate clients on estate planning processes and probate procedures.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and billing.
