Location: SCSU Main Campus, 720 4th Avenue South, St. Cloud, MN 56301 Full/Part Time: Full Time Employment Condition: Adjunct Job Description: St. Cloud State University is seeking applications for potential adjunct instructors who qualify to teach in the College of Health and Wellness Professions – Department of Kinesiology. The Department of Kinesiology requests applications for part-time adjunct instructors for selected undergraduate and graduate courses in our Community Health programs. Courses may include Principles of Nutrition, Personal and Community Health, Consumer Health, Theory and Foundation, Public Health, International Health, Drugs in Society, Advanced Nutrition, Human Sexuality, Health Promotions as well as oversite of student practicum and internship experiences. Required Qualifications: Earned master's degree in Public Health, Community Health, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or closely related field at time of application The ability to teach days, weekends, and online Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Commitment to student engagement, mentoring and success Evidence of demonstrating ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree or ABD in Public Health, Health Promotion, Kinesiology, Education Field, or closely related field Previous experience teaching at the university or college level for a minimum of 1-year Experience supervising undergraduates and graduate students Active engagement in the professional community of your discipline Certified Health Education Specialist ( CHES ).
